Starting with a black background i added a space background and adjusted the opacity to allow some of the black from the background to seep in making the space background darker, i then added two ships and made copies of them turning those copies black before once again reducing the opacity of them to make them fit the background. Lasers were then added to make the two ships appear to shoot at each other.
